How we tuned the M1

We measure everything, then we listen. The measurements tell us where the M1 is wrong; only listening tells us whether fixing it makes the music better.

The final tuning took about four hundred hours across eleven revisions. The last three changes were smaller than anyone could measure, and every one of them was worth it.
